Routes and planning
A round of shops visited together, in order, on a rhythm, and how to plan one.
A route is a list of shops you visit together, in the order you drive them. The organisation's routes are the van: admins set them up and anyone on staff can drive them. A socio can make routes of their own for the shops they deliver to, which only they and admins see.
Each route has a rhythm (weekly, fortnightly or monthly) and a first run date. It comes due once its last run is older than its rhythm, and never before its first run. A shop on a due route, or one that has asked for a delivery, shows on the Dashboard's Today tab.
An organisation route can name one staff member or admin as responsible. That does not decide who drives: anyone on staff can start a run, and every run keeps who actually made it, which is what the run history and the money go by.
To plan a route, open it and choose Edit route. Plan stops puts the map beside the list. Drag a stop by its handle to put it in order, or use the arrows; take one off with the bin; add a shop by searching for it or by tapping a grey dot on the map. Only active shops can be added, never a chain's buying office. Every change is saved as you make it, and Done takes you back.
Details holds the name, the rhythm, the first run date and who is responsible. Save keeps you on the page; Save and close goes back to the route. Archive a route that no longer runs: its history stays readable, and it can be restored.
A shop can be on more than one route: two fortnightly rounds a week apart visit it weekly. How much to leave there takes every one of its routes into account, as the topic on sells per week explains.
How often a route runs
