Plan a route: add stops and put them in order

Add shops to a route from the list or the map, put them in driving order, and set its rhythm, first run and who is responsible.

Español

A route is the round you drive: the shops you visit together, in the order you visit them, with a rhythm that says when it comes due. Admins make the organisation's routes, the ones the van drives. Anyone else who makes a route makes their own.

Create the route

  1. Open Routes and choose New route.
  2. Give it a Name, such as "Centro on Tuesdays".
  3. Under Runs, choose Weekly, Fortnightly or Monthly. No set rhythm means the route only comes due when one of its shops asks for a delivery.
  4. Set the First run. The route is not due before that day.
  5. If you are an admin, choose Whose route: the organisation's, or one partner's own round.
  6. Choose Create route.

Add stops and put them in order

  1. On the route, choose Edit route. It opens on Plan stops, with the map beside the list (above it on a phone).
  2. Add a shop by typing its name or branch under Add a stop and choosing Add. Or tap a grey dot on the map and choose Add to route. Numbered pins are the stops already on the route, in order.
  3. Put the stops in driving order: drag a stop by its handle, or use the up and down arrows beside it.
  4. To take a stop off, tap the bin. The app asks before it removes it.
  5. Choose Done. Every change to the stops is saved as you make it, so there is nothing else to save.

Only active shops can be added. A lead, a paused shop and a chain's buying office are never offered, and a partner's route only takes shops that partner delivers to. A shop with no map location can still be found in the search, but it isn't drawn; the map says how many are missing. You can also add a shop from its own page: on its Route tab, pick a route under Add to a route.

Rhythm, first run and who is responsible

The Details tab of Edit route holds the name, the rhythm, the first run and, on an organisation route, who is Responsible. Naming someone doesn't decide who drives: anyone on staff can start a run, and every run records who made it. The first run date can be changed only until the route has been run once. After that it is part of the route's history. Save keeps you on the page; Save and close takes you back to the route.
