Store statuses

What each status means and what moves a shop between them.

Español

Every shop has a status. It controls where the shop appears — on the deliveries schedule, on the dashboard, and in the public store finder on our website.

Most transitions are manual, on the shop's edit page. One is automatic: recording a first delivery for a shop that is a lead or pending promotes it to active, because taking a delivery is what makes a shop a customer.

Only active shops appear on the website's store finder. Pausing a shop removes it from the finder on the site's next rebuild, which is what you want when a shop stops stocking for a while — nobody gets sent on a wasted trip.

What each status means

LeadA shop we would like to sell to but have never delivered to. Not on the website.
PendingAgreed to stock us but not yet delivered to. Not on the website.
ActiveCurrently stocking. On the deliveries schedule and on the website's store finder.
PausedTemporarily not stocking. Off the schedule and off the website, but the history is kept.
InactiveNo longer a customer. Kept for its records only.
DeadA prospect that said no, or went quiet for good. Off the pipeline; its notes say why.
