Pair a portable Bluetooth receipt printer (PT-210)
What works with a PT-210 or similar 58mm portable receipt printer on Android, iPhone and a laptop, and how to connect it the first time.
Every visit you record has a receipt, and handing one over at the counter is the simplest proof of delivery there is. Artisanly prints it on a portable 58mm Bluetooth thermal receipt printer, such as the PT-210 and the many printers like it. How the receipt reaches the printer depends on the device you print from.
What works where
| Device | How it prints | Set up once |
|---|---|---|
| Android, in Chrome | Print receipt connects to the printer straight from the page. | Nothing to install. Allow Bluetooth if the phone asks. |
| Android, a printer that only speaks older Bluetooth | Print with RawBT hands the receipt to the RawBT app. | Install the free RawBT app and pair the printer in it. |
| iPhone, in Safari | Print with RTPrinter sends the receipt to the RTPrinter app as a file sized for 58mm paper. | Install the free RTPrinter app and connect the printer in it. |
| iPhone, in the Bluefy browser | Print receipt connects to the printer straight from the page. | Install Bluefy and open Artisanly in it. |
| Laptop or desktop | The printer button in the title bar opens the browser's ordinary print dialog. | Only printers installed on the computer appear. The app doesn't connect to a Bluetooth printer from a computer. |
Connect the printer the first time
This is for printing straight from the page, in Chrome on Android or in Bluefy on an iPhone.
- Turn the printer on, load the paper roll and keep it close to the phone.
- Record a visit. The receipt opens when you save it.
- Tap Print receipt. The phone lists nearby printers; a PT-210 usually shows under its own name.
- Choose your printer and confirm. If the phone asks to let the browser use Bluetooth, allow it.
When the receipt has gone, the page says Sent to the printer. Later receipts go straight to the same printer without asking again while the app stays open. If you chose the wrong printer, reload the page and print again to choose.
If the printer isn't in the list
Printing from the page reaches printers that use Bluetooth Low Energy, which is what the PT-210 and most current portable printers use. A printer that only speaks the older kind of Bluetooth won't appear. On Android, use Print with RawBT for it instead.
