Public API and integrations
How other sites and systems read your shop list, and how to control them.
In this section: Integrations and security3
Other systems can read the list of shops that stock your products — a marketing site's store finder, an app, a partner directory. They read it from here, so it stays correct without anyone maintaining a list by hand.
Only active shops are shared. What goes out is each shop's name, town, address, map location and opening hours — nothing else. Contacts, prices, stock levels, deliveries and payments are never exposed.
Integrations read the list when they rebuild, not on every visitor. A change here shows up on the other side at its next rebuild rather than instantly.
Access is controlled by API keys, under Settings. Take a separate key for each integration rather than sharing one: a key is shown once when created, and revoking it takes effect immediately. Separate keys mean you can retire the one that leaked without taking down everything else.
